Welcome
Hello & welcome to the site,
This website is a resource for students & teachers exploring aspects of the history of the United States from the nineteenth century to the present day. As you can see on the left-hand side are links to directories relating to different aspects of US history either tied chronologically or thematically (unless you're looking at the mobile version, where the links appear below). I will add to these when I have time. The site is an opportunity to share sites, sources and documents in a way that saves time searching and deepens our understanding of the subject, so if you find it useful, please do pass on the address. If you have a question or have a site you'd like to add, do mail me at: j.watson3@brighton.ac.uk.
Some of these resources are key texts, others require a little more knowledge of context or the historical debate around the subject. So: if you're not sure how a source relates to what you're studying, try reading around the subject a little more first.
